Call 4 Action: Joe Montana Needs Your Help

Magazine Subscribers Asked To Fax Information

PITTSBURGH, Updated 7:24 p.m. EDT October 6, 2000 -- Hall of Fame quarterback and native western Pennsylvanian Joe Montana needs the help of his fans so that he may help them.

WTAE-TV's Call 4 Action reporter Susan Koeppen reports that Montana is seeking fans who may have subscribed to a magazine called, "In The Red Zone."

The magazine, which had named Montana to its staff and used his photo in the first edition, was to be a monthly publication. To date, only two issues have been distributed since January.

This summer, Montana sent a letter to Go Deep, the magazine's publisher, asking the company to satisfy the "demands of the consumers who have paid their hard-earned money for the subscriptions."

Montana didn't get the action he wanted. As he did on the football field, he has another plan. He says that the publisher of the magazine won't give him a list of subscribers, so Montana is looking for fans on his own. He will reportedly reimburse them out of his own pocket.

If you ordered a subscription to "In The Red Zone," fax your name, address and proof of purchase to 310-543-9904.

Include a credit card receipt or a cancelled check, which should read "Joe Montana's In The Red Zone."
