  • Citizens Honored For Helping Catch Alleged Killer.
  • Nearly three weeks after Richard Baumhammers allegedly gunned down five people, six people that helped in his capture were honored.

    Diane and Tristan Wenzig, Shirley Kelly and officers John Fratangelli, James Mann and Glenn Sovich were all honored in Center Township Tuesday.

    "I wish i could've done something to help Garry (Lee), but there wasn't really anything I could do," Tristan said.

    heroes honored The heroes were honored with plaques at the ceremony. They were all quick point out that team work is why they were there and that they were glad to help put an end to the killing spree.

    "At first, we didn't feel like we did anthing right because of the fact that Garry Lee died," Diane Wenzig said. "But I know now, after hearing all this stuff that he had all this other stuff in the car, he was going to kill some more people.

    The judge is set to determine whether Baumhammers is competent to stand trial Wednesday.
